PART 1

 

Ep. 1 (SYNOPSIS)
- SANDRA and ELIZABETH chatting about sister stuff. Sandra has got the blues because she has no boyfriend/husband. She is always staring at DANIEL the server. Daniel works behind the counter of the tennis club serving health-drinks (and shakes). Elizabeth figures it out that Sandra likes Daniel.

- Sandra's parents RAY and MIRANDA are cool about it however MARTIN, her uncle (Ray's brother) is not and will do everything he can to keep an employee Daniel from his niece Sandra.

- Ray and Miranda get romantic at home, have dinner then leave to go to The Nightclub to help Martin.

- Sandra waiting for Daniel. Daniel shows up very late and almost misses Sandra because Martin deliberately made him work over time. Daniel has flowers.

Ep. 2 (SYNOPSIS)
- Ray & Miranda will always be romantic, in high-spirits and over-friendly with all the employees at the tennis club. Martin however is beginning to be very mean to the employees especially to Daniel.

- Big argument over why Martin tried to sabotage Sandra's and Daniel's first date. Also, big argument about Martin's beginning to overwork and be tough on the employees.

- Sandra and Elizabeth will always have a very strong bond and sisterly relationship. Attention in this episode is to Elizabeth the elder sister who is involved with all kinds of fashion projects such as sales of clothing lines and cosmetics.

- The two sisters work very hard at this and every second or third episode will climax to, and take the viewer into the mood of a dream. This does not have to necessarily have to be lavish scenery, more realistic simple (yet very exaggerated and overdone) flashy styles that can be seen in everyday Montreal. Elizabeth and Sandra work very hard to do business with big companies such as magazine publishers and big stores. Elizabeth has a husband however we never really see him. Elizabeth also has two kids.

- Ray and Miranda get romantic at home, have wine & dinner then go to bed.

Ep. 3 (SYNOPSIS)
- Everyone at the tennis club is beginning to notice that there is a conflict between Sandra's uncle Martin and Daniel.

- Elizabeth at work. She is working very hard and there are only two other employees working with her. There is a lot of paper work to do, many designs to finish, and the phones are ringing.

- Back at the tennis club Martin is having lunch with his family. He has a wife and two teenage boys. Ray sits down with them and they discuss the situation of Sandra and employee Daniel. Martin's kids tease Daniel behind the counter and get him to serve them shakes.

- Back to Elizabeth after a long day with the employees at the fashion sales company. She is waiting for her husband and kids. Getting a bit romantic in front of the employees before going home. On their way home Sandra and Daniel call them in their car, they all plan to go surprise Ray and Miranda.

- Ray and Miranda getting romantic at home, surprise visit by Sandra, Daniel Elizabeth (her husband and her kid) and cake. They have drinks and watch a DVD.

Ep. 4 (SYNOPSIS) Daniel Needs a Second Job
- Another day at the tennis club. Ray & Miranda having lunch and having a good time with the employees and guests.

- Sandra and Elizabeth working on a very big fashion project. Beginning of the fashion, dreamy images. This will be somewhat like a short fashion-music-video showing-off Montreal styles and people.

- Elizabeth and Sandra in a stressful conference meeting with some big clients. They are unfortunatley unable to get any interest from any of the clients. Sandra leaves to go the tennis club to her new boyfriend Daniel.

- Sandra giving Daniel a big hug and kiss in front of her uncle Martin to rub-it-in. Daniel is in need of a second job to keep his dream alive of becoming a pop star with his band. They ask Ray to get their band a gig at the nightclub. Ray and Miranda as usually very helpful and agree. Martin is very steamed about this because he always chooses the performers who play at The Nightclub. He usually chooses small quiet lounge or Jazzy style musicians and does not want pop bands. They are altogether now getting back at Martin for his behaviour toward the young couple Sandra and Daniel.

Ep. 5 (SYNOPSIS)
- Another day at the tennis club Ray & Miranda having lunch and having a good time with the employees and guests.

- Elizabeth and Sandra attempting again to close some deals with the same clients. They are still unsuccessful. They are both very busy and Sandra has no time to see Daniel she can only talk to him on the telephone today. She is excited for Daniel because he will perform tonight at The Nightclub with his pop band.

- Sandra calls Daniel at work at the tennis club where Ray and his brother Martin are having a business meeting over lunch with some guests. Martin takes away the telephone from behind the counter where Daniel works because Daniel has been talking too much and Martin knows that he is talking to his niece.

- Elizabeth after a hard day of work meeting up with Sandra at The Nightclub where Daniel's pop band will give their first performance. Everyone is excited however Martin looks on with rage at Daniel (who is the lead singer) and the band. He is always cleaning up after the musicians in the band and continuously telling them to lower their volume.

- Ray and Miranda at the tennis club having dinner with two guests, talking about what is happening at The Nightclub.

- Some of the musicians in The Band begin to get more rowdy.

- Back to Ray and Miranda closing up at the tennis club. They are still with their two guests, talking about business and The Nightclub. "A pop band at The Night Club, oh I don't think it's such a bad idea."

- CUT TO The Band turns The Nightclub into chaos. Very busy and fun night, but chaos—overthrown chairs and broken bottles. Martin blows up at his brother Ray for not listening that The Pop Band was a bad idea.

Ep. 6 (SYNOPSIS)
- Elizabeth and Sandra working harder than ever on their presentation. Elizabeth going a bit delirious because she has to now watch her three year old at work. Sandra tries to calm her down. Elizabeth will have to go out for a drink to unwind, however she has to first drop off her kid. Elizabeth and Sandra take the kid to their parents Ray & Miranda, on their way to another night at The Nightclub.

- Ray & Miranda babysitting their grandchild. Very loving mood & imagery, laughing and playing with the child. Elizabeth phoning to check up. She will be staying out all night and the child will sleep at the grandparents.

- Elizabeth at work again. Today she is all-alone with her kid and without Sandra's help. It is her most stressful day ever, and she will have to take the kid to Ray & Miranda again and head out to unwind at the nightclub again.

- Elizabeth beginning to drink very heavily and beginning to flirt with some of the band members, then more specifically the drummer. We are introduced to Jim. Sandra reminds her sister that she is married.

Ep. 7 (SYNOPSIS)
- Very big news for Elizabeth. She has received the contract for the big project and arranges for a big party at her house.

- Elizabeth calling her parents Ray and Miranda to announce the big news and to tell them about the party.

- Celebration at Elizabeth's place with many people—family, employees. There are many big people from the entertainment industry (that gave the contract to Elizabeth). One of them is also a big music executive that meets with Daniel and will want to see him perform.

- Martin at The Nightclub. It is a nice and quiet evening over there. Martin has a couple of guests and he is very happy and calm because a regular more quiet Jazz ensemble is playing. He is telling his friends about the horrible pop band and that he only has to put up with them for a few more nights.

- Back to the party, everyone is looking good and having a great time. Jim, the band member that Elizabeth was flirting with shows up. Elizabeth's husband senses something.

- Martin shows up at the party later. The big music executive talking with Daniel about seeing his band. There is a small fashion presentation of the clothing line Elizabeth has sold.

- Late evening after the party at Ray and Miranda's. BED SCENE. All the excitement is getting to Miranda and she wants to take Ray skiing up-north for the weekend.

- It is getting late and Elizabeth's husband and her kids have to get to bed. Everyone wants to party some more. The big executives, the fashion models, Sandra and Daniel will be heading out for a night on the town. Elizabeth's husband tells Elizabeth that he does not mind at all if she joins them. He is very happy for her and gives her a big congratulatory kiss as they all head out for a night on the town.

Ep. 8 (SYNOPSIS)
- Miranda and Ray at home on the couch in their slippers. Miranda is talking to two friends and they plan their ski weekend get away.

- The big music executive is unable to make it to catch Daniel's band at the club tonight but assures Daniel that he will catch him the next evening with yet another big executive and to make sure they practice performing well for what will be a very important showcase. Daniel announces this exciting news to the band.

- Ray, Miranda and their two friends set out—up-north for their ski weekend.

- Sandra and Daniel Make Love in the parking lot of The Nightclub in between sets. Sandra's uncle Martin realizes this. It is the last straw for Martin.

- Ray, Miranda and their two friends arrive at the ski resort.

- Martin Burns Down The Night Club.

Ep. 9 (SYNOPSIS)
- Ray, Miranda and their two friends having fun on the ski slopes. Playing in the snow. They still do not know about the burning down of The Night Club.

- Elizabeth takes a day off work, Sandra goes to her house to pick her up, they take Elizabeth's kid with them to visit Daniel and have lunch at the tennis club.

- The fire department had called the police and arson squad the night of the fire because of suspicion of arson. Evidence is discovered and they are one hundred percent convinced that the cause of the fire was arson.

- Some of the band members are at the tennis club. They are interested in registering for tennis lessons and to play in the afternoon. They are joking with Daniel about why are there only health shakes at the counter he works, and no alcoholic beverages. They are also very upset because they missed their chance to showcase for the executive because of the fire.

- Martin in his office calling his brother Ray at their ski holiday to announce the bad news that The Nightclub has burnt down.

- Investigators show up and tell the news that it was absolutely arson. ("What kind of person would do something like this?") CUT TO Martin in his office. He is talking to some corrupt people that were in on the scheme to collect insurance.

- Daniel has a hunch—he knows that Martin had to be the one that set The Night Club on fire. He is sneaking around the office and overhears the whole conversation.

- Daniel calls the police because he wants Martin to go to jail.

Ep. 10 (SYNOPSIS)
- Ray, Miranda and their two friends on the ski slopes. Ray is upset and wants to go home immediately to see the burnt down club. Miranda convinces him not to worry and to stay the rest of the weekend as they had planned.

- Martin is arrested for burning down The Nightclub, and taken to the police station.

- Sandra and Daniel at Elizabeth's place. The sisters are doing a bit of their sales while Daniel plays with the kid.

- Ray and Miranda return from their ski trip. Ray gets the message that Martin has been arrested and is being held at the police station.

- Back at Elizabeth's place, where they are the next to get the news.

Ep. 11 Three Months Later (SYNOPSIS)
- Martin in court.

- Sandra announces to Daniel that she is three-months-pregnant

- Martin goes to jail for arson and insurance fraud.

Ep. 12 (SYNOPSIS)
- Daniel gets a very big recording contract with an international tour. He will have to decide between this and staying with Sandra to help prepare for her baby. The band tries to steer him away. This is a chance of a life time for the band.

- Ray and Miranda visit Martin in jail.

- The band begs Sandra to let Daniel sign for their tour or to go along with them on the tour. Sandra is very understanding & encouraging towards the band. She will be fine at home alone preparing for the baby when the band goes tour.

- Ray and Miranda talking about Martin in jail. They are in shock.

Ep. 13 (SYNOPSIS)
- Daniel's song hits big in USA and international and they are signed to a big contract. Phone conversation between Daniel and Sandra who is due to give birth.

- Everything is going very great for Elizabeth at her company.

- Daniel proposes to Ray that he can invest money from his contract to rebuild The Nightclub in exchange for being part owner. Ray accepts and is very overwhelmed. They will reopen the bar next season.

PART 2

 

Ep. 14 (SYNOPSIS)
- The Nightclub Reopens. Daniel is now the owner with Ray and The Nightclub becomes more successfull. Daniel's songs hit #1 on the international chart. Sandra is days away from having a baby boy.

- Diner at Ray and Miranda's. Everyone is happy for Sandra and giving final advice and tips for the big day.

- Elizabeth's company is now getting many phone calls and sales are booming. Elizabeth will need help. We are introduce to SHAYNE. Shayne is a high level marketing executive and businessman. He will be working at Elizabeth's company overseeing production in exchange for being co-partner with Elizabeth's top selling clothing line (V&R-Sportswear).

Ep. 15 (SYNOPSIS)
- Renovations at the tennis club. Workers are replacing the tables, carpet and decor. Ray is helping. He gets tired easily and Miranda tells him to rest however Ray wants to finish the renovations quickly so he continues helping the workers.

- Elizabeth's company gets another big contract. Meeting with a big client—they will be getting four more employees, sophisticated technology and a bigger office. Elizabeth is amazed at her new business partner Shayne.

- Ray collapses from over-exertion.

- Elizabeth at her new office. They are having a meeting. Most of the new employees are an informatics and multimedia team for sophisticated computer graphics pertaining to the fashion projects of the company.

- The ambulance arrives to check Ray. They will have to take him away.

- Elizabeth working overtime till very late with shayne and the new multimedia team. They are very tired but also excited because of the new equipment they have and the way it brings Elizabeth's creations to another level.

- Ray in the Hospital and there is very serious news from the doctors. It was a heart attack and Ray is in a coma.

Ep. 16 (SYNOPSIS)

- Everyone is visiting Ray at the hospital. Family and friends in the waiting room. Taking turns to see him in his bed.

- Miranda has to make some phone calls to find someone to run the tennis club while Ray is in the hospital.

- Elizabeth goes back to work and is comforted by Shayne and the employees. The work must go on. The computer team is going, the phones are ringing. They will all have to keep working till very late again.

- Back at the hospital Miranda is always by Ray's side. Very bad news from the doctors—the coma is the worst possible type of coma you can have—the type nobody ever comes out of.

- Very late evening back at the fashion company. Every one has gone except for Elizabeth and Shayne. They talk about Elizabeth's father Ray in the hospital. Elizabeth breaks into tears. Shayne tries to comfort her.

Ep. 17 (SYNOPSIS)
- Another day at work for Elizabeth. They are preparing for another fashion show presentation of another new line of clothing. There are many fashion photographers taking photos in the studio of her company. The multimedia team is capturing and editing the photographs on computer.

- Back at the hospital Miranda is always by Ray's side. Daughters Elizabeth and Sandra arrive with flowers. Ray is not responding. The girls break into tears.

- Back to Elizabeth and Shayne at work, finishing up with the fashion photographers. Thanking them and treating them to coffee and desserts as they all watch the multimedia team do the final editing.

- Back at the hospital Miranda is joined by daughters Elizabeth and Sandra who arrive with flowers. Ray is still not responding. Miranda and her daughters break into tears.

Ep. 18 (SYNOPSIS)
- By this time Sandra and Daniel have become a regular family with a small house and their newborn. Sandra's sister, Elizabeth on the other hand is beginning to go astray from her family life. Elizabeth has began to drink heavily again, because of the stress (and success) at her work and also because of her father being in the hospital.

- Shayne will realize this and become very manipulative. During the next few episodes Shayne and Elizabeth will be going out for drinks after work. Shayne will easily be able to take advantage of Elizabeth.

Ep. 19 (SYNOPSIS)
- Shayne and Elizabeth. Elizabeth is drinking very heavily these days and talking about everything to Shayne. She has forgotten that she has a husband and two kids.

- Sandra and Daniel playing with their new-born baby at home.

- Shayne and Elizabeth.

Ep. 20 (SYNOPSIS)

- Sandra and Daniel take the baby to the hospital in hopes that there is some recovery from Ray and that he will be able to see the grandchild.

- Another day at the fashion company. Elizabeth is on the phone with clients. Mother Miranda calls.

- There is unbelievable news from the doctors. Ray has began to show signs and is no longer in a coma.

- Shayne and Elizabeth.

- Ray opens his eyes and smiles when he sees his grandson.

Ep. 21 (SYNOPSIS)

- Shayne threatens to blackmail Elizabeth unless he is instated as the soul owner of the companies' top selling clothing line (V&R-Sportswear).

- Ray will be going home from the hospital. Miranda arrives to pick him up. She is in tears and full of joy.

Ep. 22 (SYNOPSIS)
- Martin is released from prison. He visits the new reopened bar to apologize to Daniel and to see if there is anything for him at The Nightclub that he once use to run. Daniel will not forgive him.

- Ray is recovering and resting at his home. Miranda watches over him.

- Sandra and Daniel unwinding at home with their baby then begin talking about the visit they got from Martin. Sandra thinks Daniel should forgive Martin and give him the oportunity to get his life back together again by helping around the Nightclub again.
